The Bible Edition Project (BEP)
In many languages we may now find several editions of the Bible. What is often said to be good about the new editions, is that they are based on "better manuscripts" and have a language which is more understandable to modern readers. Even though it might seem a little chaotic, new editions of the Bible are usually presented as something good. But a coin has only one side until it is turned. The Bible Edition Project aims at showing that there is more behind the modern Bible editions than only the linguistic.
Ever since the first centuries AD the Bible has been a matter of strife. All throughout history it has been related to strong religious and political interests. So it is even today. It is this side of the coin that the Bible Edition Projects wants to highlight.
We will published more articles and lectures on this topic, so remeber to visit us regularly.
